VIDYABHIMANI SAMAJAM
విద్యా దదాతి వినయం, వినయాద్యాతి పాత్రతాం,
పాత్రత్వాత్ ధనమాప్నోతి ధనాధ్దర్మం తతః సుఖం
Knowledge imparts modesty and discipline. From modesty and discipline comes humbleness and worthiness. From worthiness one gets wealth. People with such good virtues will utilize wealth to perform good deeds on the path of Dharma. Good deeds lead to happiness. Such people are always happy.
Our ancestors, the MERAKA VEEDHI TELAGAS, strongly believed this eternal truth long ago. they showed their magnanimity to start a charitable organization for the welfare of the community and public in general to impart education, skills and help the needy by the way of VIDYABHIMANI SAMAJAM. Even today our elders in the age groups of seventy and above still cherish the memories of the VIDYABHIMANI SAMAJAM of our community.
Many stalwarts and magnanimous people like Sri Muthangi Ayyanna Naidu, Mondrety Lakshmi pathi, Sri S.L. Prakasarao , Sri Chebrolu Bala Bhaskara Rama Wadia, Sri Kandula Sanjeevarao, Sri Mondrety Bavannarayana , Sri Muthangi Sri Krishna and Sri Kandula Sudarsanarao and so many other are involved in the activities of Vidyabhimani Samajam and took it to its glory and prominence. They helped financially poor students of our community. They also sent rice and groceries to the poor of our community.
The Samajam has conducted skill development activities of the poor and unprivileged woman of the community to enable to self-sustain in their lives. Knitting and sewing classes were conducted in Muthangi Vari Ramalayam and sewing machines were distributed. Festivals were celebrated in both Ramabhajana Chavidi and Muttangi vari Ramalayam.
Chebrolu Venkata Chalam, a retired teacher and the chairman of Kapu teachers welfare association, states that he is one of the beneficiaries of VIDYABHIMANI SAMAJAM And has no hesitation to reveal that. Sri Kandula Sudarsana Rao helped him financially to attend botanical tour when he was in distressed state after his father’s death. This is just one example of the generosity and Magnanimity of our ancestors.
With the elapse of time and death of its patrons the Samajam has lost its previous glory and remained dormant. It is now up on the youth of our community to shoulder the responsibility of reviving the Samajam and bring
back its lost glory and prominence. In this noble cause we invite and welcome the youth of our community to come together and join hands and work in the path shown by our ancestors..
